Is the Anti-Immigration law in Arizona a violation of Civil Rights due to the potential for racial profiling of non-whites?

My Stance on Immigration

Our current country was built on the blood, sweat, and tears of people from foreign lands and those that were here before the first settlers landed on our Eastern seaboard. The Declaration of Independence was not signed by men that were native to this land. Their ancestors immigrated to this country to avoid persecution for religious beliefs among other perils. Years later, more people would come to this great land from Ireland, Italy, Germany, Poland, Russia, and probably almost every country on this planet. Each group of people added a little something to what we once called a “melting pot”. What was left was a country that had many problems but it had freedom. These were freedoms that each group of people left their homelands in search of.
So why do we now want to reform immigration? I believe that there needs to be reform but do you really think that Mexicans are the only group of people entering this country (both legally and illegally) in hopes of a better life? Thats the perception that I see in the media. Do they really take your jobs? Do you really want the jobs that these men and women are doing? What about your precious government hand outs that they are supposedly stealing?
Are this people not using social security numbers that do not belong to them in order to work? Guess what? That means they pay taxes and pay into programs that they will never be able to reap the benefits of.
So before we tell a Mexican immigrant to go home; let us not forget that many are immigrants in their own land. The Mexican border once stretched as far north as California, Nevada, and Utah and as far east as Texas. So before you support sending Mexican immigrants home, take a look in the mirror and ask yourself where your ancestors came from? I bet it was not here.

  1. I am a first generation Chicano and I don't support illegal immigration. Don't get me wrong, I don't support the deportation of every illegal in this country but I also don't support amnesty!
I would like a path to citizenship for them as President Bush proposed, however I don't support the actions of those Pro-Illegal folks. How can I break into your home and begin working and living there and complain because you called the cops on my to have me removed? Would you like that? Would you let me stay there? Give me title to your home?
I don't buy this idea of them being legal in their own home, that is b.s.! If this were the case then they would have been here for generations, which they haven't. Anyways, those are my two cents.

  2. There are people in the southwest that can trace their families back to before any American state existed in the Southwest. They didn't cross the border, the border crossed them.

  3. There is an immigration law in this country. Those millions of people broke the law, and now they are demanding rights. There are people in every country in the world that want to come here LEGALLY, and they wait for as long as 10 years to get a visa. It is not fair that others cross the border, or get a tourist visa, and never leave. Everyone in this country should abide by the law. If an American citizen breaks the law, he/she has to pay the consecuenses. A lot of those illegal immigrants are criminals, others are here milking off the system, having children by the dozen so they can become welfare recipients. This is not fair to the hard-working, honest, taxpayers citizens. This is an abuse against the taxpayers. We are being force to support children we did not conceive. Those illegal are taking advantage of this country's good-hearted people. They should go back to wherever they came from, and come back the legal way, as others do. All states invaded by illegal are in deficit, and taxes are very high. Illegal take a lot more than what they contribute. This country is not made to come and have children by the doz. Children are very costly, and this is not fair to continue to allow those people to come here to have children. They should come here to work.

This is HISTORY, and HISTORY IS HISTORY. Whatever happened in HISTORY, the Mexicans sold the property, or they lost it in a fight, TOO BAD! Now that USA is what it is they want it back? HAHAHA. What a Joke.

Where everyone in this country ancestors came from? They came from many places, and when immigrants started to come, USA was not what it is today. Those people came here to work very hard to build up this country. There was not an immigration law at that time, there were no stablish laws. People used to come through the Statue of Liberty, or Ellis Island, everyone used to be finger=printed, and vaccinated before were allowed to walk the streets. People were needed at that time to build up this country. There was not welfare at that time, so people could not come here to become welfare recipients as they are doing now. Now they come here to find everything done, and exploit it. There is no need for all those millions of immigrants. Immigration should be organized. A company, any business, any country, without organization, is a failure, it does not work out. This uncontroled immigration should be stopped before it is too late. No one in the country ILLEGALLY should be granted permission to stay here. They should back to where they came from, and come through the big door LEGALLY. Those pro-illegal people looking to become famous are talking constatly about 12 million illegal immigrants for years. How is it possible that for years the number doesn't move, when they keep coming everyday by the hundreds? How is it possible that only 12 million ILLEGAL have invaded so many states? And the politicians have to panther to only 12 million ILLEGAL?

  5. When Reagan gave amnesty to 3 million ILLEGAL, many criminals became citizens. We have enough criminals of our own. Do we need anymore criminals?

  6. I find it interesting that your argument is based on whatevery conservative says they are "milking the system". The truth is the people that do get welfare benefits are the children that are born here legally.
While we are on the topic of people with expired visas. There are a lot of people that stay here on expired visas, and not only visitor visas, a lot of people that get work visas and then the employer doesn't renew them so they stay here illegaly. The other thing is that even deproting them comes to the cost of taxpayers so it really is not solving the issue. In fact it would be more costly to taxpayers to house these people in a holding facility before they get a court date in an immigration court that is already bkaced up enough as it is.

The joke is that you do not KNOW what happened. Please RESEARCH the HISTORY before you post about it again.

WE do not have an illegal immigration problem in this country. We have EMPLOYERS who are conducting illegal business practices, yet see no penalties for their actions. If there were not employers willing to hire Illegal Aliens, there would be less of an incentive for them to come to the United States. But, we wouldn't want to hurt those big businesses who are the REAL CRIMNALS... People always seem to miss that point. EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!! If you don't than you just sound uneducated.
